Starr Davis is a talented writer and a dedicated mother, who has been featured in various literary platforms like The Kenyon Review, Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day, the Rumpus, and Catapult. She has been recognized as a fellow at The Luminary, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and PEN America. Starr has also served as the creative nonfiction editor for TriQuarterly and as a columnist for Mama's Writing at Raising Mothers. She holds an MFA in creative writing from the City College of New York and a BA in journalism and creative writing from the University of Akron. Starr's personal-political report has earned her positive feedback and placed her reviews in Longreads 'Top 5 Longreads of the Week.'
