Summer Vacation

I'll be taking this week off from blogging for an end of summer vacation. The Franzen Rapture is tomorrow and I am contractually obligated to form a contrarian opinion on Freedom by the end of the week, so I need some time to read. But mainly I need a break because it's my son's last week of summer before he starts kindergarten, and I'll be busy playing catch, building Legos, visiting Shedd Aquarium, and eating corned beef at Manny's. I'm sure you understand.

Regular posting will resume here after Labor Day. In the meantime, check out our big monthly update on Wednesday with new book reviews and interviews with Phillip Lopate, Megan Martin, Thisbe Nissen, and Martin Preib.
