Maybe I'm just being a crank, but reporting on trending Twitter hashtags is not news. Maybe Susan Orlean has a claim since she supposedly started one, but otherwise it's the internet equivalent of the Chris Farley Show.
Matt Wood is a book review editor for TriQuarterly, and a writer and social media specialist for the University of Chicago Medicine.
