Are editors necessary online?

Think editors aren't necessary in the brave new digital world? IBM monitored traffic on a set of unedited marketing pages on its website, then had an editor work on them. User engagement (number of clicks in the right places) increased 30 percent on the edited pages, across the board. Better writing and clear directions = better understanding from the audience.
