S.J.Killebrew has an MFA in creative writing from City College of New York where she teaches writing as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and co-organizes the MFA Student Reading Series. She is a queer Black writer and playwright. While attending graduate school online during the pandemic, Killebrew wrote a 30-minute play-for-Zoom, The Brunch Club – A Dark Comedy, which was produced by Naked Angels Theater Company. She has ghostwritten 11 novels and copy-written several articles. When she’s not teaching or writing her queer young adult novel, then she’s reading YA novels, because she loves the heroine’s journey.
