Patrycja Humienik, daughter of Polish immigrants, is a writer from Evanston, currently based in Seattle. She serves as Events Director for The Seventh Wave and works at the University of Washington. Her poems and essays are featured/forthcoming in Waxwing, Ninth Letter, Catapult, Poetry Northwest, Hayden's Ferry Review, Passages North, and elsewhere. She is working on her first book, Anchor Baby.
