Mackenzie Evan Smith is a senior creative writing major at Carnegie Mellon University. Her writing has appeared in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, The Oakland Review and on her blog, The Naked Note Taker. She is the recipient of an Adamson Award for creative nonfiction from Carnegie Mellon University and was a finalist for the Alexander Patterson Cappon Prize for fiction from New Letters. She will spend 2011-2012 in India as a Henry Luce Scholar.
