Jackson Bliss

Jackson Bliss is the mixed-race author of The Amnesia of June Bugs (7.13 Books, 2022) and the literary hypertext, Dukkha, My Love (2017). His short stories and essays have appeared in The New York Times, Tin House, Ploughshares, Guernica, Antioch Review, Longreads, Triquarterly, Kenyon Review, Witness, Fiction, Santa Monica Review, Boston Review, Juked, Quarterly West, ZYZZYVA, Arts & Letters, Joyland, Notre Dame Review, Fiction International, Pleiades, Hobart, African American Review, Stand (UK), 3:am Magazine, The Good Men Project, The Daily Dot, and the Huffington Post UK, among many others. He has an MFA from the University of Notre Dame where he was the Fiction Fellow and the 2007 Sparks Prize Winner. He also has a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing from USC where he was a FLAS fellow, a College Merit Award Fellow, and a two-time ACE/Nikaido grant recipient. Jackson was the 1st Runner-Up for the 2013 Poets & Writer’s California Exchange Award in fiction, a 2015 Pushcart nominee in creative nonfiction, and a featured hapa fiction reader at the Mixed Remixed (2016) and CityLit (2019) festivals.
