Michael Steinberg

Michael Steinberg is the founding editor of Fourth Genre: Explorations in Nonfiction. He has written and/or co-written five books and a stage play. In 2003, his book Still Pitching was named the Independent Press Memoir of the Year by ForeWord Magazine. The anthology The Fourth Genre: Contemporary Writers of/on Creative Nonfiction (with Bob Root) is now in its sixth edition. Six of his pieces have been listed as Notables in Best American Essays. He is currently the creative nonfiction writer-in-residence in the Solstice MFA program at Pine Manor College.
